Assessment and Skill Building of Children with Hearing Loss

Each child is expected to be a full participant within the general education classroom. Due to the access barriers caused by hearing loss, students require specific skill building and appropriate accommodations if they are realistically going to be able to progress at the same rate as their class peers.  Spend the day with Dr. Karen Anderson, Director of Supporting Success for Children with Hearing Loss who will provide resources and practical materials for professionals assessing and supporting students with hearing loss to improve their services to support successful outcomes, especially for students competing in the mainstream.
