WSDS is pleased to offer a professional learning opportunity presented by NTID Regional STEM Center.  This workshop will allow educational interpreters the opportunity to explore best practices in the provision of interpreting service in STEM disciplines. Beginning with overall approaches to preparation and progressing toward discipline specific content, interpreters will have opportunity to ask questions, present scenarios and discover new approaches to providing interpreting services in the STEM classroom.

These 5 instructors, who specialize in interpreting Chemistry, Math, Physics and Biology will engage participants in discussion and hands on work with content. They will also touch on the importance of Incidental learning. This is not a workshop on STEM vocabulary, but a hands on opportunity to practice interpreting STEM content areas in a safe environment.

We hope you will participate in this unique and valuable professional development opportunity!
